The Federation of Gay Games
The Gay Games is a worldwide sports and cultural event; similar to the Olympics, the games take place every 4 years. The games are open to everyone regardless of sexual orientation, gender, race, religion, nationality, ethnic origin, political belief, physical ability, even athletic/artistic ability. There's hope for all of us couch potatoes! Check your calendar, you might consider planning for the 2006 Gay Games! They'll happen in Chicago, IL between July 15-22 .

World Out Games
The World Out Games hosts their 1st competition in Montreal, Canada, July 2006.

Gay & Lesbian Athletics Foundation
GLAF is a non-profit organization fostering the visibility of LGBT atheletes.

If you're looking to spend time outside with Mother or Father Nature hiking, camping, biking, climbing, etc. this is a great site for you. The Gay website is in affiliation with Gay Outdoors clubs across the U.S. Loads of information here to help you find friendly campsites, hiking trails, groups going on hikes, etc.
Another great site for information on all sorts of sports related actitivies.

An affiliation of GLBT running/walking clubs that have been organized in many of larger cities around the world. The use of the name Frontrunners comes from the novel by Patricia Nell Warren

International Gay Outdoors Organization (GO)
A great site with a lot of depth on many sports. With over 5,000 pages, there has to be something on this site of interest!

International Gay Rodeo Association
The IGRA is an umbrella organization for 22 gay & lesbian rodeo associations across the US and Canada. The Association fosters the sport of Rodeo and Country Western activities.

National Center for Lesiban Rights' Homophobia in Sports Project
The NCLR's Homophobia in Sports Project attempts to help people dealing with such issues. You'll find resources to help you deal with homophobia in sports here.

Sexual Minorities in Atheletics
SMIA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting student welfare by advancing the enfranchisement of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transsexual, and allied (GLBTA) athletes.
