Online Fundraising Resources Center
The authors of Fundraising and Friend-Raising on the Web, Adam Corson-Finnerty and Laura Blanchard, share their expertise. Links to “Cool Sites” for fundraisers.

American Association of Fundraising Counsel
Members are consultant firms with the core values of leadership, ethics, and excellence. Publishes Giving USA the annual report on philanthropy.

Association of Fundraising Professionals
Includes information about professional ethics, education and career development and jobs in the field.

Fundraising Training Kit
A basic introduction to fundraising created by the Southern Ontario Library Service.

The Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University
The Center “increases the understanding of philanthropy and improves its practice through programs in research, teaching, public service, and public affairs.”

A Foundation Center database of foundation-sponsored reports that can be searched by keyword. A list of reports is also available for browsing by subject, foundation, or year. A great resource for researching philanthropy.

Processes online donations to over 850,000 charities, deducting a 3 percent fee from each donation.

The Fund for Animals
An overview of fundraising techniques appropriate for more than animal protection organizations. Suggestions for direct mail campaigns, payroll and internet fundraising, and planned giving.

Sponsorship.com
News and forums about corporate sponsorship. Free registration required.

GreaterGood.com
When you shop at GreaterGood.com, up to 15% of every purchase is donated to the cause you select. Examples of causes include hunger, breast cancer, rainforests, animal rescue and child health. Choose a specific nonprofit within those subject areas.

iGive.com
Up to 27% of each online purchase goes to over 23,000 organizations. The site has raised $1.3 million thus far. Shopping sites to choose from include Shop NBC, Lands' End, Barnes and Noble, Dell and ebay.

Shop for change
Buy merchandise from selected retailers (Powells.com, Patagonia, and Coldwater Creek are examples) and up to 5% of each purchase is donated to progressive causes.

My Cause.com
Shop at a retailer affiliated with My Cause (L.L. Bean, Amazon.com and Toys R US) and up to 12% of purchases goes to one of over 275,000 organizations or your favorite cause.

Charity Gift
Give a charity gift to a friend and let the friend choose the charity. Provides a tax receipt. Charges users a fee.
