Accompanying Frontline's PBS show, All about meat goes inside the meat industry and it's a very eye opening experience!

Visit the Online Textbook of Microbiology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This site, awarded a prestigious ISI (Institute for Scientific Information) award for webcontent, covers broad topics in microbiology for students and educators.

The directory, Women in biology Internet launch page, features history, web resources, bibliographies, and other biology links. The site is aimed for the college level student but also offers sites on career choices. The site is organized and provides easy linking to additional sources.

NatureServe is a conservation source for over 50,000 plants, animals and ecological communities in the U.S. and Canada. Keyword or browse searching is available in either common or scientific name or both!

The American Society of Microbiologists is MicrobeLibrary. This site uses Quicktime to present animations and film footage of over 150 images of microbes. Users must agree to fair use policy in order to use the search engine. Also included on the site are curriculum resources, reviews, the ASM journal and newsletter.
